The Powerstick™ employs a lithium polymer battery. The advantage of such a battery is that it is substantially less volatile and flammable then the traditional lithium-ion batteries. Additionally, lithium polymer batteries have higher energy storage density with the ability to store several layers of batteries within itself, thus providing a stronger, smaller and longer lasting battery life with an overall safer use.
